Overview

St. John of Kronstadt Orthodox Mission operates this website and phone line solely to serve our parish community. We do not sell, share, or market your data.

Phone & SMS

Our parish phone line at (956) 434-6874 is operated through Twilio. When you interact with the line, your phone number may be used to send you transactional SMS messages tied directly to that interaction — for example, the parish website link when you request it through the phone menu, or a confirmation that your voicemail was received.

How you opt in

Opt-in happens when you actively choose a menu option during a call to (956) 434-6874 — for example, pressing a key to request the website link — or when you leave a voicemail and receive a confirmation. We do not send unsolicited or promotional messages. We do not enroll you in any list without an action on your part.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies and is tied to your own interactions with the phone line. A typical call produces zero to two SMS messages. We do not send recurring or campaign-style messages.

How to opt out or get help

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe — you will receive a single confirmation that no further messages will be sent. Reply HELP for assistance, or call the parish directly at (956) 434-6874.

Costs and delivery

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Data handling

We do not sell, share, or market your phone number. Phone numbers are retained only within Twilio's standard call-log infrastructure for the operation of the parish line and are never given to third parties for marketing. Opt-in data and consent records are kept only for the purpose of honoring opt-out requests and demonstrating compliance.

SMS Terms of Service

By interacting with the parish phone line in a way that triggers a text message (selecting a phone-menu option, or leaving a voicemail), you agree to receive transactional SMS messages from St. John of Kronstadt Orthodox Mission at the number you used. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. You can request help by replying HELP. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We will never send promotional, marketing, political, or third-party content via SMS. Messages are limited to the operational scope described above (website link delivery on request, voicemail confirmations, and pastoral voicemail alerts). Your phone number is not shared with anyone outside the parish's own telephony provider (Twilio) and is not used for any purpose beyond servicing your call.

Website

Browsing this site collects no personal data and uses no tracking cookies or analytics. The only information we hold is what a parishioner enters when creating an account, described below.

Parish Accounts

Parishioners may create an account to reach the parish library, catechism lessons, the directory, and coffee-hour signups. An account holds what you enter: your name, email, phone, and anything else you choose to add, such as a mailing address or emergency contact.

Email from the parish

Your email address is how the parish keeps in touch with you. Fr. Antonios and the parish office may write to members about services, parish news, and matters of parish life — this is part of belonging to the parish rather than a mailing list, so it isn't a setting you switch off. In your account settings you can choose whether to also be emailed when new catechism lessons and materials are posted.

When the parish writes to everyone at once, addresses are placed on blind copy, so no one sees anyone else's email address. If you would rather not receive parish email at all, tell us and we will remove your account.

The parish directory

The directory is entirely optional and off unless you turn it on. You choose whether to appear in it and, separately, which details to share — phone, mailing address, and which email address, if any. Nothing you haven't chosen to share appears there, and the directory is visible only to signed-in parishioners.

Who can see your information

Parish administrators can see member accounts in order to run the parish. Beyond that, your information is never sold, shared, or used for marketing. To see, correct, or delete what we hold, call (956) 434-6874 or use the contact form.
